Jacob H. Schiff Playground, one of the larger playgrounds in Manhattan, offers a variety of children's athletic activities. The centerpiece of the park is a large synthetic turf field lined for soccer and available for many uses. The highlight at the field is the Pieces for Peace mosaic, which stretches 213 feet across and incorporates artworks submitted by youth from around the world. Schiff Playground also features six handball courts, three basketball courts, play areas for children and tots, and a peaceful tree-lined lawn area.
