In observance of Easter Sunday, recreation centers will be closed on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

The indoor pool and men's locker room at Roy Wilkins Recreation Center is temporarily closed due to a mechanical issue which has resulted in poor dehumidification and air circulation. The rest of the recreation center will remain open as we work to safely reopen the pool once repairs are completed.

Join us as NYC Parks partners with NYPD, DYCD, DOE, and NYC’s five District Attorney’s Offices to extend the hours of recreation centers on Saturday nights for youth and teens! Bring your friends, and meet some new, to enjoy a variety of activities from sports to fitness classes, games, arts, and cultural. Socialize with your friends while you learn new skills!

Participants will play in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament during Saturday Night Lights. Games played will have a 7-minute running time, with the winner will be whoever has the most points when time expires. Teams will follow a Single Elimination style bracket and 1 winner will be crowned champion. 12 Teams are needed for this tournament. Half court play and possession will be kept if team scores.
