Due to construction on the Tide Gate Bridge, located on Meridian Road within Flushing Meadows Corona Park, vehicular traffic will not be allowed to cross the bridge in either direction. Please follow posted detour signs around Meridian Road and plan for additional travel time. Pedestrian traffic will still be permitted to cross the bridge.

In observance of Easter Sunday, recreation centers will be closed on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

For children ages 6-17 Level 3-6 will be offered.
Level 3- Swimmers in Level 3 are starting to show stroke proficiency in the front crawl and elementary backstroke.
Level 4- The objectives of Level 4 are to develop swimmers' confidence in the strokes learned and to improve other aquatic skills such as treading, and sidestroke.
Level 5-The objectives of this level are coordination and refinement of strokes.
Level 6- The objectives of this level are to refine strokes so participants swim them with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness and over greater distances.
For registrants looking to take Learn to Swim levels 3 through 6 at Flushing Meadows Aquatics Center, please select a Water Test so that your level can be determined. If your child is selected from a lottery, all efforts will be made to place your child in an appropriate class.

Dive Pool

Youth Hydro-Fit is a form of competitive swim training and conditioning, including general dry-land training exercises (push-ups, sit-ups, planks, etc). Similar to swim team level training, however, this program will not be single team based but open to any individual swimmer willing and able to join in on the advanced exercise. Requirements will be similar to the swim team, in which each participant must be able to swim 25 meters of each competitive racing stroke in good form, without stopping. All interested participants will be water tested before being allowed into the program. Participants must be ages 8-17.

Learn to Dive lessons is tailored to absolute beginners, youth ages 6-17 who would like to learn the basics of competitive springboard diving in an inclusive, fun environment. Participants will learn approaches, forward and back jumps in straight, pike and tuck body positions, and forward and back dives. The mission of the NYC Parks diving program is to make the Olympic sport of diving accessible to New Yorkers and to provide another means for our youth to develop discipline, goal settings, physical fitness standards, and sportsmanship principles. Learn to Dive lessons is tailored to absolute beginners, youth ages 6-17 who would like to learn the basics of competitive springboard diving in an inclusive, fun environment. Participants will learn approaches, forward and back jumps in straight, pike and tuck body positions, and forward and back dives. The mission of the NYC Parks diving program is to make the Olympic sport of diving accessible to New Yorkers and to provide another means for our youth to develop discipline, goal settings, physical fitness standards, and sportsmanship principles. Swimmers must pass a water competency test. Online registration.

For children ages 6-17 Level 3-5 will be offered.
Level 3- Swimmers in Level 3 are starting to show stroke proficiency in the front crawl and elementary backstroke.
Level 4- The objectives of Level 4 are to develop swimmers' confidence in the strokes learned and to improve other aquatic skills such as treading, and sidestroke.
Level 5-The objectives of this level are coordination and refinement of strokes.
Level 6- The objectives of this level are to refine strokes so participants swim them with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness and over greater distances.
For registrants looking to take Learn to Swim levels 3 through 6 at Flushing Meadows Aquatics Center, please select a Water Test so that your level can be determined. If your child is selected from a lottery, all efforts will be made to place your child in an appropriate class.
