Species: Japanese pagoda tree (Styphnolobium japonicum)
Trunk Diameter 48 Inches

This tree, unusually large for its species, is believed to be part of the original estate of Arthur Von Briesen, founder of the Legal Aid Society. The estate grounds were donated to the City by Von Briesen's heirs in 1945. The dangling flowers in late summer are not to be missed.
